French Open organisers have come in for further criticism on Sunday after Stan Wawrinka branded an article about him on the official tournament website as "completely stupid".

The news piece published on Saturday mentioned the 30-year-old's private life rather than just focusing on his preparations for the tournament, something that angered the eighth seed.

Wawrinka's scathing attack came hours after Davis Cup team-mate Roger Federer slammed security at Roland Garros following a fan breaking through to have a picture taken with him on court after his first-round win over Alejandro Falla.

"It is a completely stupid article," he said. "It's the official website of a grand slam, so I hope the guy who did that article is not a journalist.

"I also hope the guy who is supposed to check all the article on the website is not working anymore for the tournament.

"Because for me, for a grand slam website, it should be an article about the tennis and that's it.

"I saw the article last night. I told the tournament that I wasn't really happy about it, and I don't think it was great for the tournament to do that s*** article.

"I hope it won't be repeated in the future."

Wawrinka's comments came after his opening-round victory over Marsel Ilhan, the Swiss coming through in straight sets.

He added: "It was a great start, a good match, [I'm] feeling the ball well. I had only one hour of practice here in Paris, so I'm really happy to play that way already.

"My game is there. I'm feeling great on the clay since few weeks now. I have got the confidence back and [I'm] playing well. So I'm happy to get through in three sets.

"Sometimes you have to put some pressure on your own shoulders to perform well, I drew lessons from my [first round] elimination last year, it's a new year and I got off to a good start."
