After winning the opening set 6-1 at the WTA 125k series hard-court event on Saturday, adverse weather conditions forced the Chinese duo to seek cover for the second, with the match completed on an indoor court.

World number 111 Qiang took control of the set early on and eventually booked her place in the final with a 6-1 6-3 win.

The result saw Qiang claim her seventh consecutive victory over compatriot Ying-ying and the sixth seed will now face Magda Linette for the title.

Linette came away with a 6-1 6-1 victory from her all-Polish semi-final against occasional doubles partner Paula Kania.

The 22-year-old Linette is yet to win a WTA singles title and squandered numerous opportunities on her way to a convincing triumph over Kania.

Despite the dominant nature of the final scoreline, Linette only managed to convert five of the 15 break points she created, but held firm on her own serve.

Like Linette, Wang has not previously won a WTA singles tournament.
