Another tantrum overnight (AEST) has once again placed him in the headlines and overshadowed an impressive on-court display.
During his round three victory over Milos Raonic, Kyrgios couldn't control his frustrations and smashed his racquet into the ground.
It narrowly missed a line judge standing nearby and flew up into the stands where it was caught by a spectator.
After the victory Kyrgios said he didn't regret the action and would deal with consequences if he did happen to hit someone.
