The video confirms the 35-year-old's version of events after he was arrested in a case of mistaken identity while he waited outside his New York hotel before heading out to watch the tennis on Wednesday.

Blake was standing around doing nothing when an unidentified officer came up to him, took him to the ground and arrested him.

Blake, who said he sustained minor cuts and bruises after he was 'body slammed' did not appear to resist arrest in the video.

The former tennis pro recently told Good Morning America he was 'shaken up' bythe incident and wanted an apology from the NYPD.

Police commissioner Bill Bratton told reporters Thursday he tried to apologize to Blake through a cell number he was provided, but was unable to make contact.

The officer who handcuffed Blake was placed on modified assignment and had his gun and badge removed pending an investigation.
