Sam Stosur came from a set down to claim her second WTA title of 2015 at the Nurnberger Gastein Ladies on Monday morning (AEST).

The Australian looked all at sea at the start of the final against Karin Knapp, who made a superb start, but battled back to claim a 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 victory.

A topsy-turvy opening two sets saw 11 breaks of serve as neither player was able to assert their dominance, before Stosur found another level in the decider to seal the title.

Knapp - who came into the final having already beaten Sara Errani the last four on Monday - won four games in a row to take control of the first set, before serving out to love to move ahead.

Stosur's powerful serve was not causing the third seed many problems and Knapp was quickly 0-40 up on the Australian's first service game of the second set, converting the opening at the third attempt.

Knapp continued to put pressure on her opponent with another break in the third game, but that only served to fire Stosur into action as she won four of the last five games to set up a tie-break.

Having levelled the match, Stosur had all the momentum with her and quickly moved ahead in the decider as Knapp's challenge began to fade.

Two breaks of the Knapp serve left Stosur on the verge of the title, and she had no problems in sealing the success with a comfortable hold.
