Arthur Ashe Stadium will have a retractable roof in place by the time New York hosts the final grand slam of 2016.

Rain has proved a frequent pain at the US Open over the years, with five consecutive men's singles finals taking place on Monday (US time) from 2008 to 2012.
This year's last-four matches in the women's singles were put back a day due to a poor forecast, although the final still took place on Saturday (US time) as scheduled.
