The Polish top seed looked set to sail into Sunday's final at the WTA International hard-court event, but suffered a dramatic collapse in a 0-6 6-2 6-4 reverse.

Cornet will now meet Camila Giorgi in the final after the Italian world number 69, who knocked out reigning champion Roberta Vinci in the second round, claimed a 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 win against Carla Suarez Navarro.

Radwanska appeared on course for a straightforward triumph when she won the opening six games, but the world number three lost the next four.

That run gave Cornet a solid foundation to build on and she held her nerve to close out the set and level the match.

The pendulum swung once again at the beginning of the third as Radwanska opened up a 3-0 lead, but she lost her remaining three service games to hand victory to her French opponent.

In the second semi-final, unseeded Giorgi claimed her second high-profile scalp of the tournament.

Having already disposed of compatriot and second seed Vinci, she dumped out third seed Suarez Navarro.

After battling to a tie-break victory in the opening set, the 22-year-old beat her opponent by two breaks to one in the second.
