Radwanska rolls into Seoul quarters

Poland's Radwanska - ranked fifth - proved far too good for South African Scheepers, crushing her 6-0 6-0 at the WTA International hard-court tournament in Seoul.

The 2012 Wimbledon finalist progressed past Scheepers in just 49 minutes.

Radwanska will meet fifth seed Varvara Lepchenko in the last eight, after the American ended the run of Korean wildcard Han Na-lae.

Lepchenko progressed with a 7-5 6-1 victory that took one hour 22 minutes.

Another American, Christina McHale, advanced to the quarters, accounting for Germany's Mona Barthel 6-1 4-6 6-3 in one hour 50 minutes.

In the bottom half of the draw, second seed Karolina Pliskova - the world number 32 - overcame a scare to see off Germany's Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-4 6-7 (7-9) 6-2.

Pliskova blew a match point serving for it in the 12th game of the second set, but steadied herself in the decider to win in just over two hours and avoid a big upset.
