The 2013 Wimbledon champion, who recently parted company with coach Ivan Lendl, drops below Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin del Potro following his quarter-final exit at the hands of eventual champion Novak Djokovic at last week's Sony Open.

The Scot, who suffered with a back injury in the latter months of last year, is now in danger of dropping even further down the rankings with his less-favoured clay-court season just around the corner.

The top three of the men's standings remains unchanged with Rafael Nadal leading Djokovic and Stanislas Wawrinka.

Wawrinka's compatriot Roger Federer completes the top four, while Berdych and David Ferrer are fifth and sixth respectively.

Serena Williams remains top of the women's rankings after her Sony Open triumph over world number two Li Na on Saturday, and there are no changes throughout the top five.

Petra Kvitova was one of the biggest winners in the upper reaches of the rankings, going from eighth to sixth with her march to the last eight in Miami, while Angelique Kerber also climbed two to seventh.
