Having survived a first-round scare from Monica Niculescu a day earlier, the German produced a much more confident display on the hard court to reach the quarter-finals with an easy 6-1 6-1 win against her American counterpart.
Lisicki, who needed just 40 minutes to wrap up victory at the WTA International tournament, lost only three points on her serve in the entire match to set up a quarter-final clash with Zheng Saisai of China.
Zheng ensured her place in the next round with a shock 6-4 6-2 success versus sixth seed Yanina Wickmayer, winning 21 points on the Belgian's below-par second serve to secure triumph.
There were no such difficulties for second seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia, who cruised to a 6-1 6-4 victory over home hope and wildcard Zhang Ling, however, Dutchwoman Kiki Bertens was dumped out by Australian qualifier Jarmila Gajdosova.
Ranked 15 places above Gajdosova in the rankings, Bertens looked to be on the way to a straightforward win when she took the first set.
But was unable to maintain that momentum, with nine double faults a big factor as Gajdosova roared back to progress 4-6 6-1 6-4.
Elsewhere in the draw, Francesca Schiavone continued her quest for a seventh Tour title, the 34-year-old benefiting from a somewhat shortened second-round contest as Japanese veteran Kimiko Date- Krumm retired due to neck and shoulder problems with the Italian leading 6-3 4-0.
