Hayden committed to Aspar

The two-time world champion has opted to use the break in the MotoGP season to have further surgery on the problem in an attempt to leave him pain free for the remainder of the campaign.

Hayden first went under the knife in June following a crash with Andrea Iannone at Le Mans in May.

Reports had suggested the Australian could to leave MotoGP at the end of the season, but he is adamant he will fulfil his two-year contract with Aspar.

"Some of the press have just been starting rumours and it's gotten to be a bit comical and there's no truth with me going to World Superbikes," said Hayden.

"A few races ago I had to dispel the rumour that I was retiring [because of his wrist] and now it's the rumour about going to Superbikes, but it's never been discussed.

"I've a two-year deal with Aspar and - like I've said many times before - I like this team, we've got good sponsors and next year we're supposed to be getting an upgraded bike from Honda.

"I don't know how to say it more clearly, but this is a two-year contract and my plan is to stay here and we haven't spoken of anything different."

Hayden has collected just 29 points this season, with his sole top-10 finish coming on the opening weekend in Qatar.
