Dawn Fraser’s “racist” attack on Kyrgios and Tomic

Fraser was on Channel 9’s The Today Show discussing whether Kyrgios “tanked” during his fourth round Wimbledon loss to Richard Gasquet overnight.

After losing the first set, Kyrgios appeared not to try in the second, leaving serves he could have returned.

Kyrgios won the third set before losing the fourth in a tie-breaker.

“It’s absolutely disgusting,” said Fraser.

“I am so shocked to think that he went out there to play and he tanked. That’s terrible.”

That was just the beginning of the former champion swimmer’s outburst, as she went on to suggest Kyrgios and Tomic should “go back where their parents came from.”

Kyrgios’ father is Greek and his mother is Malaysian, while Tomic has a German-born dad and Croatian mum.

“They should be setting an example for the younger generation of this country, a great country of ours,” Fraser continued.

“If they don’t like it, go back to where their fathers or their parents came from.

“We don’t need them here in this country if they act like that.”

Kyrgios took to Facebook on Tuesday morning, labelling Fraser a “blatant racist, Australian legend.”

Kygrios’ mum Nill also posted on Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, Fraser copped a backlash on social media.
