Tomic, who was dumped from Australia's Davis Cup team just over a week ago, was taken to jail at around 5:30am and was eventually released after posting $2700 bail.

Officers stated that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Fairfax Media obtained the following police report on the arrest.

"Both witnesses, who are also the hotel security guards for the W Hotel, stated that they made contact with def (defendant) three times in his penthouse room number 15 reference several complaints from the neighbours about loud noise and music coming from def's roms."

"Witnesses stated that the def closed the door on the security officers and refused to lower the noise and music all three occasions. Def pointed his finger aggressively towards the hotel security officers and continued to play loud music.

"Hotel security, who are authorised agents of the hotel were also on scene and while officers were present they told the def that he was being evicted and issued a trespass warning."

"Def was advised several times that if he did not pack his belongings and leave the premises he would be arrested for trespassing. Remaining guests in the room left and the def wilfully remained in the room refusing to comply.

"Def was verbally warned again that he was being evicted and was no longer allowed to be in the hotel. Def once again verbally and physically refused to comply with officer commands. Def was arrested and transported [to] TGK (Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center)."

Tomic was partying in Miami after his first round exit from the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, the tournament which was referred to as the "Hall of Shame Tennis Championships" on an official Tennis Australia email.

It was a mistake that infuriated Tomic, and further divided him from his bosses.

One of the 22-year-olds main adversaries at Tennis Australia is Pat Rafter who weighed into the most recent Tomic fiasco early on Friday morning.

"It looks like overnight he’s probably hit rock bottom," Rafter told 2GB.

“Hopefully when people hit rock bottom, they can turn things around.”

The Twittersphere certainly didn't miss Tomic either.
