Beck to meet Strycova in Luxembourg final

The German was beaten by Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets in the 2013 showdown, but will hope to do better this year when she meets Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.

Beck has yet to drop a set at the WTA International hard-court event this week and charged into Saturday's final in just 47 minutes.

Allertova may have beaten Sabine Lisicki and Varvara Lepchenko earlier in the tournament but she never got going against Beck, and was only able to win nine points in the opening set as the German won all six games to take the lead.

Early in the second the Czech qualifier got her only game of the match before Beck resumed her complete dominance of proceedings, only having to save one break point in the whole contest.

Fourth seed Strycova started her semi-final with Mona Barthel with a break in the opening game on the way to 6-3 6-2 triumph.

Like Beck, Strycova has not lost a set in the tournament and goes into the final looking for only her second tournament win.

Having consolidated the early break she served well to open up a 5-3 lead before securing the first set on her second set point.

From the end of the opener into the second set Strycova won five consecutive games, and at 3-0 up in the second she never looked like losing.

Barthel failed to create a single break opening on her serve, while Strycova converted her sixth of the set to claim the victory.
