Bartoli contemplating tour return

Marion Bartoli is contemplating a return to the WTA Tour, with the one-time Wimbledon champion gauging the response to a potential end to her retirement on social media.

Bartoli announced her retirement less than two months after breaking through for her first career major when she won the SW19 title in 2013.

The Frenchwoman, now 30, is now contemplating doing what several professionals have done on the women's tour - including Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati and Kimiko Date-Krumm - by ending her seemingly premature retirement.

"Coming back or not coming back to #tennis? What do you think? Should I?" Bartoli tweeted, which was retweeted more than 300 times within hours.

Bartoli also made the Wimbledon final in 2007, losing to Venus Williams.

The former world number seven has eight WTA Tour titles to her name.
