Andy Murray insists there is no shame in losing to Novak Djokovic but has challenged himself to improve against the world number one and Roger Federer.
It has been a consistent season on the ATP Tour for world number two Murray, who has made seven semi-finals from eight Masters events he has entered in 2015.
However, Murray came up short against Djokovic again in Monday's (AEDT) Paris Masters final, as the Briton was comprehensively beaten 6-2 6-4.
Murray has now beaten Djokovic just once in their past 11 encounters since his triumph in the 2013 Wimbledon final, while he also lost five times in a row against Federer.
And Murray recognises he must do more to improve his record, saying: "Obviously this year (Novak's) level has been incredible.
"Since the beginning of last year, my results against him and Roger, from my perspective, haven't been good enough. I need to do better in those match-ups.
"It's harder playing against the best players. Those two are two of the greatest players of all time, so there is no disgrace in losing to them.
"But I do feel like I need to start doing better in those match-ups, because the scoreline in the last couple of matches there hasn't been good."
