Erakovic advances in Memphis

New Zealand's Marina Erakovic booked her spot in the third round of the Memphis International on Tuesday.
Erakovic – who is seeded fourth at the event – defeated Russian Evgeniya Rodina 6-3 6-4 in just 74 minutes.
Erakovic won an impressive 81 percent of points on her first serve and made four breaks in her victory.
In other second round matches, seventh seed Johanna Larsson was surprised by American Varvara Lepchenko.
Lepchenko beat the Swede 6-2 6-4, while Russian Vera Dushevina notched an impressive 6-4 6-3 win against American Jamie Hampton.
Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands also triumphed, defeating Belarusian Olga Govortsova 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 to set up a meeting with Erakovic for a place in the semi-finals.
In first-round matches, second seed Ksenia Pervak of Kazakhstan defeated Canadian Rebecca Marino 6-2 6-4 while Frenchwoman Stephanie Foretz Gacon cruised past American Melanie Oudin 6-2 6-3.
France's Pauline Parmentier also won her way into the second round with a 6-4 4-6 6-2 win against Andrea Hlavackova of the Czech Republic.
