Chinese pair bow out

Chinese pair bow out

Chinese pair bowing out in the semi-finals - Li said their efforts this fortnight would do much to boost the profile of tennis in the world's most populous nation.

"For the first time two Chinese players both play at the same time in the semi-finals of a Grand Slam," Li said.

"That is good for both players and of course it is also good for Chinese tennis."

"If the children (in China) saw us play this time then maybe they have more confidence that maybe some day they can do the same thing in the future."
