Victoria Azarenka stormed into her 10th semi-final of the season as Ana Ivanovic fell at the Generali Ladies Open in Linz.
The Belarusian world number one captured her WTA-leading 65th win of the year with a comfortable 6-2 6-2 victory over Petra Martic in just 79 minutes.
Azarenka, the top seed in Austria, raced to a 4-0 lead in the first set and never looked back as she booked a last-four berth against Romanian lucky loser Irina-Camelia Begu, who produced a hard-fought 6-4 1-6 6-2 win over American Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
German Julia Goerges maintained her form in Linz as she eased past Sofia Arvidsson 6-1 6-4 on Friday.
The fifth seed had not lost a set heading into this match and she looked on track to maintain that record as she raced out to a 6-1 4-2 lead over her Swedish opponent.
Arvidsson, however, broke back to level the second set at 4-4 but Goerges lifted another notch as she sealed thewin.
"The score looks easy but the second set was definitely high quality - she stepped her level up a lot in the second set and gave me a tough time," Goerges told the WTA website.
"My game is to be aggressive, serve well and go for my shots, and I can't really complain about the way I'm playing - I'm moving well, waiting for my chances and going for it. Everything's working well for me so far this week."
Goerges will take on surprise packet Kirsten Flipkens in the semi-finals after the Belgian qualifier upset former world number one Ana Ivanovic 6-4 6-0.
Down 3-1 in the first set, Flipkens won 11 of the next 12 games to sink the second seed.
