Northampton Saints produced a second-half comeback to defeat Saracens 25-20 in the Premiership, as fly-half Steven Myler starred with 20 points.

The league leaders found themselves 17-13 down at the break as two tries from Chris Wyles put Saracens in front.

That advantage was extended with a Charlie Hodgson penalty early in the second period, but Myler sent over four successful kicks to see Saints move five points clear of Bath.

There was also a stunning comeback at Kingsholm, where Gloucester stormed back from 27-13 down at the break to seal a ninth straight home game unbeaten with a dramatic 42-40 success over Newcastle Falcons.

Two tries from Mark Wilson and one from Sinoti Sinoti had Newcastle in control at the interval, and they were still 40-23 to the good with 11 minutes remaining.

However, Gloucester produced a sensational fightback, Billy Twelvetrees crossing for his second of the game before Henry Purdy touched down and in the final minute, Billy Burns went over to cap a remarkable turnaround.

Elsewhere, Leicester Tigers climbed into the top four with a 38-17 victory over bottom club London Welsh.

Laurence Pearce's double early in the second half proved decisive, as the Tigers moved into fourth.

Harlequins defeated Sale Sharks 25-23 thanks to first-half tries from Charlie Walker, Chris Robshaw, Marland Yarde and Danny Care.

In doing so, the visitors become the first side to beat Sale at home in the Premiership in 2015.
