Michael Hooper has been cited for a punch on Nicolas Sanchez during Australia's 34-9 Rugby Championship victory over Argentina.
The Wallabies were impressive in sealing a convincing win in Mendoza, but flanker Hooper could now be facing a ban for his transgression.
As Dean Mumm powered his way over the line for the visitors in the 59th minute of Saturday's clash, Sanchez appeared to tug on the shirt of Hooper, who was attempting to support his team-mate.
Hooper reacted angrily, striking Sanchez with a heavy blow which knocked the fly-half to the ground.
Should Hooper be found guilty, the flanker could miss Australia's meeting with New Zealand in Sydney on August 8.
