Argentina name uncapped duo for Europe tour

The inexperienced duo have been thrust into the Pumas' set-up following injuries to flanker Pablo Matera and lock Mariano Galarza.

Matias Moroni, Santiago Cordero and Santiago Iglesias also return to the fold having not made the selection for Argentina's Rugby Championship squad.

Back-row forward Juan Manuel Leguizamon is also available after recovering from a torn leg muscle sustained against Australia in September's 35-25 defeat.

Argentina will face Scotland, Italy and France on their tour throughout November and they head to Europe buoyed by ending their Rugby Championship duck by beating the Wallabies 21-17 in Mendoza earlier this month.

Head coach Daniel Hourcade is keen to avoid complacency but believes the win shows they are capable of competing with rugby union's elite nations.

"The reality is that we must keep our feet on the ground, two of our opponents are above us in the ranking and have always been competitive at the highest level," he said.

"We must make the most of the break the team had after working together for three months which is good for the identity of the team.

"We're going to play as visitors and our rivals will be prepared to receive an Argentine team which showed a prominence that made them take note after the victory over Australia."
