Crusaders captain Richie McCaw is confident he is in shape for Sunday's Super Rugby semi-final against the Stormers in Cape Town.
A troublesome foot injury has meant McCaw has played only five Super games all season but his presence, and experience in big games, has seen him included at the expense of Matt Todd.
"I'm not sure what kind of form I'm in because I haven't played much this year," McCaw told Keo.co.za.
But that wasn't what he worried about, Rather it was regaining the accuracy of his play that would be vital.
"We're in the business end now and I want to be involved and back on the field," McCaw said.
"I'm happy with my match fitness and I've been in these kind of pressure situations before."
"I also need to ensure I'm accurate in the way I play, then I'll be fine. That's just the way I approach things."
McCaw's clash with Schalk Burger, the Stormers captain and flanker, will be the first of several this season with the Tri Nations and World Cup looming.
"I've played against Schalk many times and it's always a very physical challenge. He's known for what he does on the field, all the hard tackles and stuff," he said.
"I'll be expecting it in our tussle on Saturday."
McCaw acknowledged the loss of No.8 Duane Vermeulen would be a blow for the home team and said the key requirement on Sunday would be getting front foot ball.
"We will have to try to match the Stormers up front as they are very strong in that area," he said.
"The Stormers finished second and are the top South African franchise this year. They're also at home, it's going to be one hell of a match."
