Captain and flanker Richie McCaw and first five-eighths Dan Carter have been named for the Crusaders team for their match against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Sunday (NZT).
McCaw ruled himself out of last week's game against Crusaders after suffering a head injury against the Force.
Carter has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury at Twickenham when the Crusaders played the Sharks on March 27.
The side faced an injury calamity after the Stormers game and had to fly four players across from New Zealand to prepare for the Cheetahs game.
Of those, Ryan Crotty will start at centre while halfback Steve Alfeld and fullback Brent Ward are named on the reserve bench.
Coach Todd Blackadder said: "We have managed all the players carefully this week due to the tough nature of last week's match, but we expect everyone to be ready for this tough challenge against the Cheetahs.
"Our new squad members have slotted in well and we know they will do the job for us," he said.
As a result of the foot injury sustained by wing Sean Maitland, Robbie Fruean will play on the right wing.
The return of prop Ben Franks from a lower back injury has resulted in double try scorer against the Stormers Wyatt Crockett moving to the bench.
Willi Heinz will start at halfback in place of Kahn Fotuali'i and Tom Marshall will be at fullback replacing Israel Dagg.
The Crusaders team is: 1.Ben Franks, 2.Corey Flynn, 3.Owen Franks, 4.Luke Romano, 5.Chris Jack, 6.George Whitelock, 7.Richie McCaw (captain), 8.Kieran Read, 9.Willi Heinz, 10.Dan Carter, 11.Zac Guildford, 12.Sonny Bill Williams, 13.Ryan Crotty, 14.Robbie Fruean, 15.Tom Marshall.
