Giteau bids farewell

Matt Giteau said the Brumbies' bonus-point home win over the Melbourne Rebels was 'pretty special' and there was a good feeling in the change rooms post-match.
The Brumbies secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season, scoring five tries to two in Canberra.
Giteau, who was playing his last match as a Brumby at Canberra Stadium before heading for French powerhouse Toulon, was instrumental in his side's 32-18 victory.
He played a hand in the first two tries before crossing the line himself with a cheeky tap-and-go from a penalty.
Giteau took time out after the match to say farewell to the loyal contingent of fans who braved the cold to see their hero for the last time on home soil.
And it seems it is the relationships he has developed in his time in the nation's capital that has left the biggest mark on the Brumbies' No.10.
"Winning the 2004 final was big but I think the thing you take away most is the friendships," Giteau said when asked about his fondest memory.
"I think just the friendships you're able to make … that's the one thing I'll miss the most."
Despite the positive result on Friday night, Giteau's second Brumbies stint never reached the heights expected when he signed from the Western Force two years ago.
Fans hoped to see the team return to their former glories only to watch them miss out on the finals both years.
Giteau's last game for the Brumbies comes against archenemy the Waratahs in Sydney next week.
