Queensland Reds scrumhalf Will Genia is the 2011 Australian Super Rugby Player of the Year.
The 23-year-old polled 20 votes to beat home his Reds' halves partner Quade Cooper by two votes, with Western Force talent James O'Connor third on 16.
Genia produced four man-of-the-match performances during the season, including the most important one of all against the Chiefs in New Zealand.
Cooper and Genia were locked on 17 votes heading into that match, with the three to Genia ensuring a role reversal of the 2010 finish.
He joins the likes of John Eales, George Smith, Steven Larkham, Stirling Mortlock and recently retired Phil Waugh on the Player of the Year honour roll.
Both have played pivotal roles in Queensland's minor-premiership winning campaign.
The Reds dominated at the awards ceremony.
They were named the Team of the Year, while Ewen McKenzie earned the nod as Coach of the Year for a record fourth time.
McKenzie last won the award in 2008, his final season with the NSW Waratahs.
New boys Melbourne Rebels provided the Rookie of the Year in halfback Nick Phipps.
Phipps beat home a field that included his team-mate Hugh Pyle, ACT Brumbies No.1 Ita Vaea and Western Force utility Pat Dellit.
Stuart Dickinson was named Referee of the Year.
