Friend: We've blown chances

ACT Brumbies coach Andy Friend says offensive woes have marred his side’s 2010 Super 14 campaign.
The Brumbies recorded its third loss of the Super 14 season last night losing to the Hurricanes 23-15, the first ACT loss in nine matches at Canberra Stadium.
The Brumbies offensive woes were highlighted in the first half when the side, currently sitting sixth on the Super 14 table failed to capitalise during two separate Hurricane sin binning periods.
“We had plenty of opportunities to score,” Friend said.
"It’s been the story of our season, we’re in the attacking zone and we’re just not collective enough to get the ball across the line. It’s something that has continued to plague us all year and continued to plague us tonight. [The game] was still 100 percent winnable."
Despite missing six players through injury coach Andy Friend said he expected a stronger performance.
“(Having injuries) never helps but we had a good side out there tonight; we should have been better than what we were,” he said.
Heading into a Week 11 blockbuster against the Waratahs at ANZ Stadium on Saturday and with upcoming clashes against the Reds, Highlanders and Crusaders, the Brumbies will need to make the necessary offensive adjustments to have any chance at finishing in the top four.
“It’s about looking at that next game now [against the Waratahs] and making sure that we go out and put on a better performance than that. Every game now becomes a final; that’s the nature of the competition. The Hurricanes had theirs tonight and they got through."
