Caveman to play subbies

Former France international and cult hero Sebastien 'Caveman' Chabal has signed a one-match deal with Sydney suburban club Balmain.
Chabal, who was dumped by Top 14 club Racing-Metro last month after falling out with coach Pierre Berbizier, will turn out for the subbies battlers against Petersham.
He'll make his one-off appearance in the curtain-raiser to the season-opening blockbuster between the Waratahs and Reds at ANZ Stadium on February 25.
The 62-Test veteran is the third international to line-up in Balmain's black-and-gold jersey after Wallabies Drew Mitchell and Matt Giteau both made Cameos for the club last year.
The 34-year-old caused a major stir on Tuesday when he told French TV channel RMC: "I'm going to play in Australia soon."
That fuelled speculation the bearded one, who has also been in talks with English clubs Harlequins and London Wasps, would link with one of the five Australian franchises.
However, it appears none of the Australian clubs have managed to secure the superstar No.8.
NSW and the Western Force were unable to make a play for the Frenchman having already signed their marquee players for 2012, while the Rebels, Reds and Brumbies have all ruled out signing the most expensive player in Europe.
