Video: Ridiculous 200ft free-fall dive

laso schaller

Laso Schaller set a new world record last week by jumping off a 200-foot-high cliff - without a parachute - and not dying.

That’s right, a 200-foot, or 59 metre free-fall - madness.

Schaller performed the jump in Switzerland for Red Bull, and filmed the entire thing on a camera mounted on his helmet.

The pond he was jumping into wasn’t exactly enormous, and as you can see, the angle of the jump had to be precisely worked out before Schaller stepped off the platform.

The daredevil hit the water at 123km/h, with the small group of onlookers holding their breath until Laso emerged from under the water.

Schaller exited the water limping, but largely unscathed to set a new free-fall world record.
