Speaking in an informal interview with FighthubTV, Mayweather was asked about the beef after Rousey claimed she made more money per minute than the boxer.
In a long simmering feud, the champions of their respective sports have gone back and forth over the last year and a half, with Mayweather claiming not to know her.
Rousey responded with jibes about his history of domestic violence and alleged illiteracy, saying recently, “when Floyd learns to read and write, he can text me.”
Responding to the claims, Mayweather Snr, a former professional boxer who went toe-to-toe with Sugar Ray Leonard in the '70s, had a few choice words for Rousey.
“Ronda Rousey….that woman need to shut up,” he said.
“She can’t whoop no man, she can’t whip you.
“She can tell all the lies she want to tell. I know you ain’t going for that. That lets me know you are a smart man.”
When Mayweather Snr was asked how much his son made for his last fight, a unanimous decision win over Manny Pacquiao, he ended the rambling interview by saying: “all I know, millions, and millions and millions. That’s all I can tell you.”
Mayweather takes on Andre Berto next month in what he says will be his last professional boxing match, while Rousey is due to fight Holly Holm next year.
