UsainBolt - Cropped

Defending champion Usain Bolt is excited at the prospect of Thursday's 200-metre final at the World Championships, where he will resume his rivalry with Justin Gatlin.

The pair came through their semi-finals with ease in Beijing on Wednesday, Bolt clocking 19.95 seconds after easing up towards the end while Gatlin was slightly faster with 19.87.

Bolt just pipped the American by one hundredth of a second in Sunday's dramatic 100m final, and the Jamaican is eagerly awaiting the 200m showdown as he bids to claim his 10th world gold.

"It's going to be a good run," he said. "I think overall it should be a tough run but I'm looking forward to it.

"It's my favourite event and I want to win so that's my focus.

"I need runs and three rounds in the 100 metres got me some runs and then yesterday got me into better shape so the more I run, the better I feel, the smoother I'm going to look so it's all about the rounds.

"I'm happy, I feel less tired today. I got good rest and I'm going to get good rest tonight and move on from there."
