That's the situation swimming superstar Michael Phelps is facing after his self-proclaimed girlfriend caused a social media storm on Thursday, revealing she was born a guy.
Taylor Lianne Chandler dropped the bombshell on her Facebook page, confirming she was an born intersex baby and her birth name was David Roy Fitch.
The 41-year-old, who claims she met Phelps on dating application Tinder, said during her teens she changed her name and used testosterone blockers before having surgery to remove her male genitalia in her early 20s.
Phelps was recently banned for six months by the USA swim team after being arrested for drink-driving, and it appears life isn't exactly getting any better for the 18-time Olympic gold medallist.
