Rousey was originally scheduled to fight Holm in the US on January 2, but White announced the change on Sportscenter on Saturday afternoon Australian time.

"Obviously Ronda Rousey was huge for us down in Brazil, she was well received there," White said.

"It did very well on pay-per-view here in the United States, and she's obviously a huge superstar for us.

"Australia is an important market for us, so we're going to bring her out there in our first real big stadium show, and we know she'll break the record."

The November 15 fight card promises to one of the best in UFC history, although the welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit is off after a thumb injury forced Lawler out.

While Lawler is out, fans will still get to see Mark Hunt's rematch with Gilberto "Big Foot" Silva.

Their 2013 bloodbath is widely considered the greatest heavyweight match ever.

Rousey is gunning for her seventh title defence in a row, with Holm announced as her next challenger last week.

"The scary thing about Ronda Rousey is: As good as she is, she's still getting better," White said.

"She's just getting into her prime now, and obviously people are in awe of her talent."
