Another day, another famous person thinks they could handle UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
Shaquille O'Neal is a fan of mixed martial arts. Apparently that means he thinks he could last more than 45 seconds inside The Octagon with the undefeated MMA superstar.
During and episode of TNT's "Inside the NBA" last week, O'Neal called out Rousey during a segment with actors from the upcoming "Entourage" movie, which Rousey appears in.
Over the weekend, Rousey was tracked down by TMZ Sports and asked about O'Neal's comment. Her response?
"If a chick can last 45 seconds, yeah, Shaq probably can too."
After all, Shaq stands 7-1 and weighs 325 pounds. Rousey is 5-7 and checks in at 135 pounds on fight night. That being said, Rousey has finished five of her 11 opponents in less than 45 seconds and has only been past the first round once.
So yes, Shaq could probably last 45 seconds. But not much longer.
