Rousey suffered a severely split lip during the bout, after being tagged by a number of Holm’s left jabs throughout the course of the first round.
Holm’s head kick and subsequent hammer fists that ended the bout left Rousey with a lip that required specialist treatment.
White confirmed that Rousey was tended to by a plastic surgeon, during a podcast with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, however dispelled rumours that the former UFC champion had suffered a broken jaw during the fight.
When probed by Rogan over the condition of Rousey’s jaw, White was blunt in his response.
“No she does not (have a broken jaw). That’s bullshit,” White said.
“There’s nothing wrong with Ronda.”
Rogan was quick to hit back at White’s suggestion that there was nothing wrong with Rousey, reminding him of the hits she took throughout the fight.
“There’s definitely something wrong with (Rousey), she’s concussed, she’s hurt,” Rogan suggested.
White then clarified his comments and the situation in general.
“She had a huge f***ing cut and her lip was split open. And I was like, you know what? We don’t want a doctor sewing that f***ing lip up,” White said.
“So we brought in the best plastic surgeon from Australia. He came in late last night and sewed her lip up and her lip looks awesome today.”
Rousey returned home to Los Angeles on Wednesday morning (AEDT) wearing dark sunglasses, a hood, and covering her face with a pillow.
