Strength - Sonny Bill Williams

Sonny Bill Williams showed everyone he's lost none of his tackling power with a huge hit in the first Super Rugby qualifying final between The Chiefs and The Highlanders.

Famous for his huge shoulder charges in the NRL, Williams showed great strength to adapt to the new tackling rules in his time in Super Rugby.

This big hit on Elliot Dickson shows everyone that he's now mastered his tackling technique in both codes.

Skill - Kyah Simon

She’s quickly becoming the darling of Australian sport. Not many sportspeople in Australia are capturing the hearts and minds of the nation in a way similar to that of Matilda, Kyah Simon.

The 23-year-old New South Welshman has led the Matildas in attack, as they take on the world at the Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Simon landed a double as she guided the Matildas to a crucial victory against Nigeria in the group stages, and sunk heavyweights Brazil with a silky and skilful goal to send the underdogs Aussies through to the quarter-finals with a shock win.

Endurance - Queensland Firebirds

The Queensland Firebirds claimed their second ANZ Netball Championship in the most incredible circumstances over the weekend, defeating the NSW Swifts by a single goal.

The Firebirds led the game for just 13 seconds, but that’s all it took for them to claim the title after trailing the Swifts for the entire day.

A lesser team may have thrown in the towel when things got tough, but their victory is testament to their endurance and never-say-die attitude.

Mental toughness - Jason Day

Few embody the gritty, and fighting spirit of the Aussie sport star more than Jason Day this week.

Competing in the U.S. Open of Golf, Day collapsed on course during his second round, much to the concern of fellow players and fans alike.

Suffering from episodes of vertigo, Day was dazed and confused, but managed to finish his round. But he wasn’t about to call it quits.

Day came out the next day while still feeling the effects of his condition, and shot 68 to take a share of the lead going into the final round at Chambers Bay.

Day finished the tournament equal ninth after a difficult fourth round, but did himself, and his country proud, playing outside his comfort zone.
