Mundine, who is due to fight American Charles Hatley next month, posed some stunning demands to before a rematch with Green can be arranged.

The 40-year called out for new PM Turnbull to alter the Australian flag and anthem before he would be enticed into a fight with his long-time rival.

"There will be three stipulations if we have that fight," Mundine told Triple M's Hot Breakfast.

"The weight would be one, drug testing would be another one. And when I do beat him again, I want Malcolm Turnbull to recognise my people on the flag and recognise my people on the anthem and then we got a fight."

Mundine also added the weight difference between he and Green has been a constant hurdle.

"(Green) is fighting at cruiserweight, at a catchweight of 83, 84kg. And I’m fighting at 69.85kg," he said.

"That’s nearly 15kg and in boxing that’s a lot."

40-year-old Mundine was a unanimous 12-round decision winner against Green in their only fight in 2006.

The rivalry between the two Australian fighters has brewed over the years, with calls for a rematch only growing louder.
