At a sparring session ahead of what he says will be his final professional fight against Andre Berto, the undefeated veteran paused and asked one of his posse to retrieve a wad of cash from his bag.

"I gotta look in my bag, please show me what inspires me," he said in a video posted on Twitter by Showtime Sports.

"I need motivation, let me hold it while I train. I've gotta hold it while I work."

He then proceeded to pound the heavy back with his left hand whilst clutching the large sum in his right, much to the delight of his entourage.

Mayweather's 49th professional fight will be his first since his points victory over Manny Pacquiao in May.

The undefeated American has declared he will retire after the September 12 showdown with Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
