Floyd Mayweather is ready to fight Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather issued out the proposal to fight on May 2, and Pacquiao has responded with harsh words.

"He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end," Pacquiao told Sky Sports. "He has nowhere to run but to fight me. I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest. You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep."

Interesting choice of words coming from Pacquiao who was knocked out in the sixth round against Juan Manuel Marquez. The image of Pacquiao on the mat created a firestorm of memes.

"I know what I have to do," Pacquiao said. "I will chase him wherever he goes just in case he decides to run around the ring. We will devise a good fight plan against him."

Pacquiao went on to say the division of the purse is not an issue for him. It's expected to be the richest in boxing history, but some things are worth more than that.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants," Pacquiao said. "I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight. This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing."

Here's hoping the two can settle the purse and drug test discrepancies to give the fans what they want.
