The hacker also revealed naked pictures of Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Teresa Palmer, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Victoria Justice after cracking the stars' icloud accounts.
The controversy has also touched Australia, with Geoffrey Edelsten's partner Gabi Grecko exposed by the hacker, along with Australian actresses Emily Browning and Yvonne Strahovski.
Some of the women have confirmed the authenticity of the photos while others are denying the pictures are genuine.
Maroney has more than 700,000 followers on Instagram and 476,000 on Twitter, while Solo has 852,000 Twitter followers
The hacker faces a lengthy prison setence if found guilty of the crime.
Winstead expressed her anger through Twitter.
