"Donald Trump can shut his big fat mouth" - McGregor

McGregor was tracked down by TMZ cameras at LAX Airport and asked about Ronda Rousey’s recent loss to Holly Holm.

Trump made headlines after Holm’s historic upset by tweeting he was “glad” that Rousey was “soundly beaten” because she’s “not a nice person.”

When McGregor was asked about Trump’s comments – specifically the fact that Rousey refused to touch gloves beforehand – the Irishman unloaded.

“Donald Trump talking trash about her…it’s easy for someone that’s not in there to comment, but it’s different when you’re in there” he said.

“Emotions are high, it is what it is, you touch gloves or don’t, it’s nothing.

“Donald can shut his big fat mouth…don’t give a f**k about Donald Trump.”

McGregor, who is deep in preparation for his epic showdown with Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December, said Rousey’s loss should just be a “setback” for the former bantamweight champ.

“It was a very tough fight, Holly fought a great fight, and much respect,” he said.

“This is the fight business, these things happen. Ronda will be back, great champions come back and congratulations to the new champion.

“Defeat is the secret ingredient of success and true champions come back and I wish her all the best.”

Trump copped his fair share of criticism for the tweet, but it’s not as if the animosity with Rousey has been all one way.

Back in August, Rousey told CNN she wouldn’t want the former host of The Apprentice in the Oval Office.

“I wouldn’t vote for him,” she said.

“I just really wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country.

“I’m not going to get into the specifics of it, but I mean I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country.”
