Diving duo's embarrassing belly-flop

diving fail

Competing for the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games, John Emerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo have pulled off one of the worst diving performances seen since it became an Olympic sport way back in 1904.

The pair put together a couple of zero’s, leaving their country with a grand total of zero.

The scores didn’t seem to bother the pair however, high-fiving each other as they entered the spa area.

There’s not much chance they understand how the scoring system, or sport altogether works.

Many punters took to Twitter, and were of course, very unforgiving.

It was a similar aquatic showing to that of Eric Moussambani Malonga, aka, Eric the Eel, who rose to fame following his heat win at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Malonga, competing for Equatorial Guinea won the heat unopposed, with both of his opponents being disqualified for false starts.

Let’s just say that Malonga wasn’t the most gifted swimmer, and in reality, battled to get to the end of the race.

You know what they say though, you’ve got to be in it to win it.
