Chinese snooker star faces punishment for extraordinary foul-mouthed rant

Ding

Ding Junhui looks set to be hit in the pocket for a foul-mouthed rant following his shock UK Championship exit to part-time builder Adam Duffy on Tuesday.

The world number nine - a two-time winner of the tournament - was beaten 6-2 by amateur Duffy in the first round in York.

Chinese player Ding delivered a scathing verdict on his short experience of playing at the Barbican Centre and now faces the prospect of disciplinary action.

"It was c**p. F****** four tables and everything is going wrong.," Ding said to the BBC.

"I don't want to say any more about this. It's just c**p. It's for amateurs.

"I don't think the tables were right, I don't think the fans were right. It was all rubbish.

"They just kept shouting. People say Chinese fans are no good, but I'm here and what do they do?"
