The 36-year-old strawweight fighter was taking part in a live Q&A hosted by Periscope when a number of male admirers started commenting.
“Hi there pretty lady,” and “Do you have a boyfriend?” were two of the first comments posted, to which Chambers responded: “haha I knew that question would come up. It’s tough, training takes up most of my time so…”
Those were a couple of the more restrained comments an increasingly awkward looking Chambers was faced with.
She eventually decided to tell people about her nickname “Astro Girl” which comes from her university days when she studied astrophysics (and mechatronic engineering…whatever that is) before focusing on MMA.
“I think the connection is a little bit slow,” she ended with.
A fair enough excuse…

Chambers fights Hawaiian Kailan Curran in her first UFC bout in Australia. The fight is on the underacrd of the Mark Hunt-Stipe Miocic clash.
