Mosley, who is being paid $1 million to fight Mundine, on Thursday claimed he only took the bout to keep fit and claimed even an emphatic victory over the Australian won't do anything for his future career prospects.

But a fired-up Mundine said he is ready to earn the respect of the boxing world with an emphatic performance against the legendary American.

"To be honest I really think that Shane's not showing me the respect that I deserve and when my fist is down his throat he'll definitely show me the respect then," Mundine fired.

"He can say what he wants to say but right now he ain't the fighter I am and that's what I'm out to prove.

"I'm going to prove to the rest of the world that we have a wonder from Down Under and I'm going to announce my name after the fight to the rest of the world and take on all comers, and you know I want the best of them."

Mosley also claimed he will have too much power for Mundine, who still faces a battle to make the 154 lbs weight limit, declaring he will knockout the 38-year-old.

But 'The Man' believes he can become the first man to knockout Mosley in his glittering 56-fight career.

"Well everyone goes in looking for the knockout, I'm looking for the knockout too," Mundine, who has admitted a loss could spell the end of his career, said.

"I want to knock him out, I want to be the first to do something that's never been done and set that statement that I want to set.

"I know he's looking for the knockout but I think I'm seasoned enough and experienced enough to evade anything that he brings."

Mundine said the opportunity to fight Mosley, a former world champion in three weight divisions, has rekindled his passion for the sport.

"For the first time in a long time I go to bed thinking about the night, thinking about what I'm going to do, thinking about how I'm going to do it, how I'm going to react," he said.

"And then waking up to the same tune, so I know I'm going to be mentally and physically ready come the night of the fight and I'm going to be too much for the man.

"I've told you all I'm going to show you and I've been telling you for a long time. A lot of people doubted me, a lot of people don't respect me but come this fight I'm going to prove to the boxing world that there is a new man in town.

"I'm going to put on a show like a Danny Green, Mikkel Kessler or Antoine Echols type of performance.

"I told you, certain fights don't get me motivate, this one does. And now he's put insult to the wound and talking a lot of smack and disrespecting me.

"Well I'm going to find my respect, I'm going to earn it and I'm going to earn it early."
