The Bilal Akkawy-Jacques Henrisson stoush was canned after the Victorian Combat Authority ruled it a mismatch after being made aware of Henrisson's poor record.

He is yet to register a win in 14 fights, losing 12 and drawing the other two.

Akkaway boasts a 7-0 record with six by knock out.

There have been conflicting reports over the status of the rest of the undercard due to the poor records of several fighters.

To add to the farce, the night failed to start as scheduled at 7:30pm (AEDT) after it was found there were no boxing gloves for the early undercard fighters.

Pay TV subscribers were instead told: "Due to a delay of the start of the Mosley v Mundine Main event, our broadcast will commence as soon as possible."

The telecast eventually started at 8pm in front of an embarrassingly small crowd at Allphones Arena.
