The Australian artistic gymnastics team for the London 2012 Olympic Games has been finalised, with Lauren Mitchell leading a strong line-up.
Mitchell, 20, was one of five women confirmed as team members by the Australian Olympic Committee on Thursday.
They join Josh Jefferis (men's artistic), Blake Gaudry (trampoline) and Janine Murray (rhythmic), who had already been selected.
Perth-based Mitchell won Australia's first-ever gymnastics world championship gold medal at the 2010 Rotterdam event, and she has a further 11 gold medal to her name in Commonwealth Games and World Cups.
She also competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
"It's really exciting to have the opportunity to compete at my second Olympic Games and I'm thrilled to be heading to London with the team," Mitchell said.
"I'm really looking forward to the atmosphere in London. When I competed in 2009 at worlds it was really enjoyable so I'm looking forward to heading back and doing Australia proud."
The 2012 Olympic gymnastics will be held at North Greenwich Arena (the Millennium Dome), where Mitchell won two silver medals at the 2009 world championships.
Beijing 2008 competitors Georgia Bonora and Ashleigh Brennan, together with Olympic debutants Emily Little and Larrissa Miller, complete the team.
