Vesnina cruises in Tashkent

Fourth seed Elena Vesnina led the Russian charge at the Tashkent Open on Monday.
Vesnina easily accounted for Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko 6-3 6-2 to move into the second round and was one of three Russians to win on the opening day of competition in Uzbekistan.
Ekaterina Ivanova beat Britain's Katie O'Brien 7-5 6-1 while Evgeniya Rodina beat compatriot Arina Rodionova 7-6 (7-3) 6-3.
Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele also moved through to the second round courtesy of a 6-3 6-1 triumph over wildcard Alina Abdurakhimova of Uzbekistan.
Top seeds Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania and hometown favourite Akgul Amanmuradova will be in action when play continues on Tuesday.
