Suarez fires Ajax

Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick as Ajax hammered De Graafschap 5-0 away from home to top the league table in a goal-filled Eredivisie.

A right-footed finish and 20-yard free kick from Suarez put the visitors 2-0 up in the first half, with Urby Emanuelson adding a second-half free kick of his own to put the result beyond doubt at De Vijverberg.

Suarez grabbed his hat-trick with five minutes to go and Christian Erkisen made it five to complete the rout in the last minute of normal time.

PSV Eindhoven twice surrendered the lead to draw 2-2 away to ADO Den Haag.

Ibrahim Afellay gave PSV the lead in the eighth minute, with Timothy Derijck equalising for the home team 11 minutes into the second half.

A Lex Immers own goal restored PSV's lead in the 73rd minute, but Frantisek Kubik cancelled it out with seven minutes to go, giving the home team a share of the spoils.

The draw means PSV, who cruised into the group stages of the Europa League during the week, slip to third on the table, four points behind Ajax.

Feyenoord are in second, three points behind Ajax, after a 4-0 home win over Vitesse Arnhem.

First-half goals from Kelvin Leerdam and Leroy Fer gave Feyenoord the lead before Luc Castaignos and Georgino Wijnaldum made sure of victory in the second half.

FC Twente got in on the act to win 4-0 at home to FC Utrecht, with Luuk de Jong and Marc Janko both firing braces.

Last season's champions AZ Alkmaar continued to struggle after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Excelsior.

Guyon Fernandez put the visitors ahead in the first half before substitute Kolbeinn Sigthorsson secured a point for AZ.
