Sachin Tendulkar will again get the chance to record his 100th international century on Wednesday after India decided not to rest him from their Commonwealth Bank Series match against Sri Lanka.
India had hinted Tendulkar might be rested from the match at the WACA Ground, but Gautam Gambhir has instead made way with aggressive opener Virender Sehwag returning to the side.
Zaheer Khan has also replaced Rahul Sharma.
Sri Lanka, who won the toss and chose to bat, will be trying to put a period of turmoil which has seen them change coach and captain in recent weeks behind them by making a winning start to their Australian tour.
India are looking to bounce back from a 65-run run loss to Australia in the opening match of the series on Sunday by winning the rematch of the 2011 World Cup final.
